January 2008
Can you believe we are already nearing the end of this first decade of the new millennium? I always wonder how each decade will be remembered and I think it's safe to say that the 2000s will be the decade of the computer age!
Since the year 2000, I am shocked to see how far we've come with technology. I still had a tape player in my car and I had just learned of a way to download music for free onto my computer.
Cell phones were just becoming attainable for most people and their size was finally shrinking below the stereotypical Saved by the Bell portable phone from the 80s and 90s.
It is now 2008 and look how far we've come! Phones can not only fit in the palm of your hand but they can take pictures, record video, play music, surf the internet and texting between users is the new trend that eliminates real human interaction at all!
However, if you're like me, that's not necessarily such a bad thing! For all my griping, I've grown up in this technological age and I can safely say the changes happening are moving faster than I've ever seen!
Unfortunately, with all this progress comes some struggle. Lawsuits against internet companies showing unwanted material and giving millions of people the opportunity to get things for free are just some of the arguments presented in countless court rooms around the world.
With 2008, I only anticipate more gadgets and gizmos for us to enjoy and I can't wait to get my hands on as many as I can!
December 2007
Happy Holidays! I trust you're all getting your shopping done and having good times with family and friends. Updates are constantly being made on the site so keep checking!
All the best in 2008!
